AI True Score and HubSpot’s AEO Grader start in the same place, a free check of how AI sees your business, and then split. HubSpot’s paid step is a monthly tracker; ours is a one-time report with a fix plan. Both free tools are worth running. The deciding question is which paid step matches what you’ll do next.
Disclosure: AI True Score is our product, and HubSpot’s free grader is a good tool; we’ll say so. You can also check whether ChatGPT recommends your business by hand, free, before running either.
How do AI True Score and HubSpot compare?

What is HubSpot’s AEO Grader, and who is it for?
It’s a free, one-time check of how AI describes your brand. You enter your company, and the grader returns a score, sentiment, competitive position and a few sample recommendations. It’s from a brand you already know and it costs nothing, so it’s a fair first read.
Like every free checker in this category, ours included, it’s also the front door to a paid product. HubSpot AEO costs $50 a month ($45 billed yearly) and tracks 25 prompts (the questions it asks AI for you), with a 28-day free trial (HubSpot AEO, checked September 2026). For a team that wants ongoing monitoring from a name it trusts, that’s a reasonable path.
What is AI True Score, and who is it for?
AI True Score also starts free. The free AI True Score Glimpse asks AI real buyer questions and shows whether it names you, who it names instead, and your first fix. The paid AI True Score Full Report asks the questions your buyers ask, on every engine in our report, shows who each one names, runs the checks in our report on your site, and hands you the fixes in order. Questions about it? Reply to the report email and a person answers.
The report is paid once. It includes one free follow-up check, with an email saying what changed, and paid monitoring after that is optional. It’s built for the owner who wants proof and a to-do list, then wants to get back to running the business.
Which one should I choose?
Run both free checks, then choose the paid step by what you’ll do next.
- HubSpot’s tracker keeps a chart updated for you, which is great if you’ll watch it. For a busy owner, a monthly bill for a dashboard that’s easy to stop opening is its weak spot.
- Our report is a plan you act on. Its limit is that it’s a report with one free follow-up check, not a live daily tracker.
These questions settle most of it:
- Keep watching, or fix and move on? Ongoing chart: HubSpot’s tracker. A plan to act on: our report.
- Does the brand matter to you? If “it’s HubSpot” matters to your team, that’s a fair reason to lean their way.
- Will anyone log in weekly? If not, a monthly subscription is money you’ll waste.
The fix: Run HubSpot's free grader and our free Glimpse on the same day. If they point to the same gaps, you know what to fix first; decide on a paid step after that.
Neither can guarantee that AI will name you. For the wider field, see our comparison of AI visibility tools.
Where do these numbers come from?
HubSpot’s free grader, the paid product’s price, prompt count and trial come from HubSpot’s AEO product page and its grader page, checked September 2026; prices change, so confirm before you buy. AI True Score details come from our live pricing and how it works pages. This compares our own product with a competitor’s; we’ve written it to be useful even if you choose HubSpot.
