Your website was built to impress people and rank on Google, and AI answers need something different. So do you rebuild the site that already works for your customers, and risk it, or leave AI answers to your competitors?
A Companion is a third option.
What is a Companion?
A Companion is a small second website built beside your existing one, on its own domain, made from your report so ChatGPT and other AI answer engines can read it, understand what you do and trust you enough to name you. Your current site isn’t touched, rewritten or copied. It stays exactly as it is.
Won’t two sites confuse Google? No: the Companion has its own address and its own pages, not a copy of yours, and its code tells Google and AI engines that both sites belong to the same business.

You end up with two sites doing two jobs: the one you have, for your customers and Google, and the Companion, for the AI writing the recommendation.
Why build a second site instead of fixing the first?
Because the two jobs often pull in different directions, and your current site is worth protecting. It’s built for people skimming and for Google’s results: imagery, brand polish, layouts that look good. AI wants clear text it can read, facts that match and proof it can quote.
You could rework your site to chase AI. But that site carries your Google rankings and years of trust, and reworking it for a new audience risks the old one. The Companion leaves it alone and gives your AI answer a home of its own. If you’d rather fix the site you have, that’s Install, and your report tells you which fits.
Who is a Companion for?
A business whose current site works for its customers and Google, and which wants to be the answer AI gives without touching that site. If customers ask an assistant “who’s the best [what you do] near me?” and you’re not in the answer, that’s the gap a Companion is built to close.
It isn’t for everyone. If your current site is what’s holding you back, a Rebuild may make more sense; if the fixes are small, Install may be enough. With no real site at all, the Companion can be your site.
The fix: Show your report's fix list to whoever runs your site and ask one question: can these be done inside the current site without a redesign? If yes, Install or doing it yourself fits. If no, look at a Companion or a Rebuild.
How does a Companion relate to my report?
The report comes first: proof before build.
- The free AI True Score Glimpse asks AI real buyer questions and shows whether it names you, who it names instead, and your first fix.
- The AI True Score Full Report asks the questions your buyers ask, on every engine in our report, shows who each one names, and lists what to fix. It’s the blueprint.
- The Companion acts on that blueprint. It’s drafted from your report’s findings and the facts you give us, and anything we can’t confirm stays a clearly marked placeholder until you fill it in.
The full amount you paid for the report comes off the Companion if you go ahead, so paying for proof first doesn’t cost you twice.
The fix: Before you consider a Companion, run the free Glimpse and read its first fix. If AI already names you for your main service, you may not need one.
What do I get?
A done-for-you second site built from your real business, which you review page by page before it goes live. You can ask for changes first, and a page with a placeholder can’t be approved. The domain is yours; you buy it and add two settings we send. We host the Companion, with the first 12 months included. How long it takes right now is on our current build times.
Monitoring is separate: AI answers shift, and keeping watch after launch is Scout’s job. See the monitoring page.
What can a Companion promise?
No one can promise AI will name your business, and a Companion doesn’t pretend to. What it does is remove the technical and trust reasons for AI to skip you, so when a buyer asks, you’re a candidate instead of invisible, while the site you already trust stays exactly where it is.
See the whole offer on the Companion page, and what it costs on our pricing page.
